Stuart is a graphic designer and illustrator focused on projects for editorial, cultural, and publishing clients. He is also the co-founder of Rogers Eckersley Design, a studio specializing in branding and campaigns for clients like the Apollo Theater, the National Football League, and the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA.)
Stuart has an M.F.A. in design from the School of Visual Arts, New York. He previously worked as a designer for NYC2012: New York’s Olympic bid; Russell Design Associates, a New York firm specializing in branding and environmental graphics; and Modem Media San Francisco, a digital advertising agency. Stuart is an educator with a passion for hand-drawn typography, and has taught at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the School of Visual Arts.
Living abroad, and traveling to more than 35 countries, he has gained a broad view of visual culture around the world that serves as ongoing reference for his work. He currently lives in São Paolo, Brazil with his wife and two children.
